Inscription presents :

The Edward Albee Playwriting Scholarship in New York and

The Inscription Screenwriting Scholarship in Hollywood

Both awards offer gifted Australian scriptwriters the opportunity to spend a month in the US working on a new script, being mentored by stellar American performance writers.

The scholars receive flights, accommodation and spending money.

Previous project mentors include Edward Albee, Will Eno, Chris Vogler and Michael Hauge.

In addition to writing a new work and developing their craft, the scholars will be introduced to a range of very useful contacts – agents, literary managers, theatre companies, studio execs and more.

Applicants should have a great concept for a new script plus at least two other projects they would be willing to pitch. Pre-residency pitch training will be provided by Inscription Director, Marcus West –

Submissions due to Inscription by February 1st 2013 at 6pm.
