Inscription is pleased to announce LA producers, Enderby Entertainment will sponsor the Inscription Screenwriting Award in 2013. Enderby is headed up by Rick Dugdale and Daniel Petrie Jnr. Enderby will mentor the winning screenwriter to help them settle into LA, gain a closer understanding of the local industry and help them hone their skills with tickets to industry panels and filmmaker Q & As. The winning screenwriter will stay at Oakwood’s Palazzo West furnished apartments nearby the LA Growers’ Market, Enderby offices and the American Writers’ Guild.

Starting in 2013, this residency will provide the winner with the opportunity to spend a month in LA writing a new screenplay. The residency is intended to provide a sustained introduction to the Hollywood scene. The screenwriter will meet with LA agents, producer and studio execs. where they can work on a range of opportunities to pitch not only their current project but a range of other film projects with production potential. To prepare for the tour, the winning screenwriter will have pitch training from Inscription Director, Marcus West.

Entries are due 8 February 2013, the shortlist will be published on the website in March. The winner will be announced in June.
